Whatever you do, do not pass up this post! I have exciting news!

After three years of creative and faith-filled effort, I have finally completed a project that is very close to my heart.

The story began during the isolation of the pandemic. To stay connected, I met each morning with a small group of dedicated Catholics to pray and talk about our faith lives. What started as a modest group soon grew into a lively faith community across the state.

To strengthen our faith, we began studying the Rule of Saint Benedict. Year after year, we returned to this ancient text and came to see how refreshingly appropriate this monastic guide is for modern 21st-century life. By keeping a journal and reflecting on our experiences, I came to see how deeply this Rule has shaped my perspective of the world. But I was not sure how I wanted to share this with family and friends.

In 2021, I returned to an all too familiar place: Mount Angel Abbey to pursue my doctoral degree. It is in this place where the Rule is lived and experienced. For three summers, I prayed with the monks and felt renewed, centered, and re-committed to the Christian path of life. That experience has brought me to this moment!
